Darius joins Nicole as Terry takes her and LaWanda out shopping for baby Terry's christening. They stop by the Footlocker, where Terry is briefly confronted by Lamar and 12th Street.[1]
Nicole invites Darius inside the house, where he asks her to be his girlfriend, to which she agrees. Just as they're about to kiss, Terry comes home and kicks Darius out. Later that week, Darius and Nicole walk home together. He kisses her, but she pulls away after noticing Meech's guard following them. So, they run down an alley to lose him, where they run into Lamar. When he grabs Nicole and tries to put her in his car, Darius intervenes, and Lamar stabs him twice. Nicole goes running for help and returns to find Darius bleeding out on the ground.[2]
