Overview[]
Farming is one of the survival mechanics of DYSMANTLE; though you don't need to eat to survive, farming allows you to grow crops you can use in recipes that buff your stats and health. To farm crops, you will need to find farmable land and craft a 
Seed Bag, which can be invented after starting the Farming Basics Quest in Canaveral at Packard Family Farm, 1485º, 463º. The Seed Bag can be upgraded to an 
Enhanced Seed Bag 
during the Underworld DLC quest Farming with Enhanced Seed Bag, and it allows you to plant seeds at a much faster rate (+175% when maxed).
Planting seeds on farmable land requires a plant bed. Several plant beds are already available to you at the various farm locations around the world (see Farms below). You can add extra plant beds with a 
Hoe, provided you do this on valid farmable land. Plant beds can also be built using the 
Builder's Kit. If you have hoed a plant bed and want to remove it, you can use the 
Shovel to dig up the plant bed. This is useful if you have accidentally planted the wrong seeds in the plant bed; if there is a fully grown crop in the plant bed when you dig it up, you will also receive the crops as if you had harvested them while still digging up the plant bed.
Crops[]
Crops are primarily used for Cooking. In the late game, they also are needed in huge volumes to complete The Ark. Once grown, crops can be harvested one at a time, or in bulk with a melee weapon; the 
Sickle and 
Khopesh are both good choices for this due to their ability to target multiple objects at once. Crop growth can be sped up in two ways: the Farmer skill, which speeds up growth at the maximum level by 100% with the base game or 120% with the Underworld DLC, and the Obelisk of Growth , which grants an additional 50% to grow speed. In total, crop growth can be sped up by 170% with the Underworld DLC.

The tables below list the farms you can find across different maps. Some farms have a few plots of soil that have already been tilled, which can be extended with a Hoe; other farms have no tilled plots, only tillable ground. Many farmable tiles are often covered up by decals (leaves, grass, or other patterned textures), but these decals do not affect the tile's ability to be tilled.
